Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you immediately need something and it is either beyond your reach or you simply don’t have it? I have compiled a list of household necessities that many of us either forget about or simply overlook.
1. A Flashlight
Let’s be serious for a moment. A time will come when someone decides to cut the power to your home in the dead of the night, break in, and murder you while you’re sleeping. If you’re lucky enough to wake up and hear the person coming, do you really want to be unprepared in even the smallest of ways? The flashlight won’t save you, but it might dramatically help on your path to survival.
2. A Bucket
Let’s be honest. We’re all a little cheap/irresponsible; some of us so much in fact that instead of water proofing the roof like we should have we either took the easy way out with flimsy material or spent the money on something better…like a jukebox. Either way, your ceiling is raining. The upside: without the bucket the water might slow down the intruder who is coming to kill you.
3. Duct Tape
So let’s suppose for a minute that you are trained to defend yourself from intruders. What better way to secure the poor bastard than with duct tape? It’ll also come in handy for when you too decide to join a life of crime. They use it all the time in the movies, after all, so it must be useful.
This works just as well. And besides, who knows when you’ll want to spice up your sex life? You’ve got to be prepared.
I feel as if most of us undervalue the usefulness of scissors. Not only do they act as a mighty tool for arts and crafts, but serve a more sinister purpose should you choose to use them in such a manner. Keep your scissors sharp; you never know when you’ll need them…to defend yourself.
Stay tuned for the next installment.
Until next time…stay classy.
